First International Conference on Urban Physics - FICUP 2016

The fundamental question addressed in the first international conference on urban physics is: why study urban physics? This paper allows us to respond to this concern. The subsidiary question is why in Ecuador and the Galapagos. The history of this part of the world shows us that we are not doing more than following the footsteps of prestigious scientists for more than three hundred years.
